How the Betting Rounds Work
Once all players receive their three cards, the action moves clockwise from the player left of the dealer. On each turn you choose one of two states:
Blind vs. Seen
- Playing Blind (Chaal): You have not looked at your cards. Your minimum bet is the current stake; your maximum is double the stake.
- Playing Seen: You have looked at your cards. Your minimum bet is double the current stake; your maximum is four times.
This creates a real asymmetry: a Blind player can force a Seen player to bet more, which is where the bluff mechanic lives.
Fold, Call, Raise
- Fold (Pack): Surrender your cards and lose what you have already put in.
- Call (Chaal): Match the required bet and stay in the round.
- Show: Request a showdown. Only available when exactly two players remain. If both are Seen, either can call Show. If one is Blind, the Seen player pays double to call Show; the Blind player pays the standard amount.
- Side Show (Compromise): Ask the previous player to compare cards privately. The weaker hand must fold. This option is unavailable in some online variants.
When the Round Ends
The round ends when all but one player has folded (last player wins without showdown) or when two players reach a showdown. The player with the stronger hand wins the entire pot.
